July

This month Page...
1) Loves to ask "but why?" Cole asked her why she always says "but why" and she responded "I'm trying to learn Daddy." Such a sweet girl!
2) Has an awesome sense of direction. We took family photos at Heritage Square in Phoenix and she insisted on going to the Phoenix Children's Museum when we got nearby.
3) Continues to amaze us and others with her language skills.
4) Loves to repeat what we say. We definitely have to be careful to not say things we don't want her repeating!
5) Is prone to owies! It seems that she is always on the go and often falls or bumps herself. You should see her knees ;)
6) Is such a social girl, making friends everywhere we go!
7) Enjoys testing limits these days and has spent some extra time in time out this month! No fun for Mommy and Daddy :(
8) Enjoys calling Mommy and Daddy by their first names. She thinks she's pretty smart and funny!
9) Has an awesome imagination and has become quite skilled with pretend play.
10) Swam 25 meters independently and passed the big kid swim test at her pool party!

Page has kept busy this month with school, going to the movies, and swim lessons!

She also went to the splash pad with Grammy and then again with Mommy and Daddy, enjoyed the 4th of July, got her 1st hair cut, went to Micah's 2nd birthday party, had family photos taken, went to the CMOP with Mommy and Daddy, had a play date with JJ, went to the CMOP with daddy, met Grandpa and Grandma at Four Peaks, had a great 3rd birthday party at Lifetime Fitness, had a wonderful 3rd birthday, went to Build-A-Bear for the first time, and had dinner with Daddy's friends!

Post-picture food :)

Page made this "airplane" all by herself. Notice the suitcase ;) She wanted to go on a trip to Disneyland!

Silly girl!

Fun times at the mall after church

Loving the rain!

Page's 3rd Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday Page! You are such a special girl and it is so fun to watch you grow. You are a smart, inquisitive, silly, strong-willed, imaginative, loving, sensitive, dynamic little girl! We are so proud to be your parents and look forward to the many years to come. Just don't grow up too fast now little one! We love you a whole bunch :) Love always, Mommy and Daddy

Mommy and Daddy stayed home today to celebrate Page's 3rd birthday! Page opened gifts, ate donuts for breakfast, had cupcakes at school, went to Build-A-Bear, had Pita Jungle for lunch, took a nap, had swim lessons, and went over to Daddy's friend Andy's house!

Page loved playing with the kids and ALL the turtles at Andy's house!

Happy Birthday Pagers! We hope you have a very special 3rd birthday!!

Page's 3rd Birthday Party

Page had her 3rd birthday party at Lifetime Fitness this weekend! It was a pool party with our family and friends. Mommy decided having the party at home might be too much this year ;) Page had a lot of fun with her friends and really liked the pool! Mommy and Daddy were very proud, Page was able to swim 25 meters independently and pass the big kid swim test! This allowed her to be able to go into the deep end and go down the big water slides! Pretty impressive for a 3 year old ;) We had pizza and cake at the party and then Page opened her gifts at home with some of the family. She had a wonderful day!!

The birthday girl :)

Pregnancy Update

I will be 31 weeks on Wednesday. Playing a bit of catch up here!

Here is my 28 a week belly pic! At 27.5 weeks I was not dilated, 50% effaced, and my fetal fibronectin was negative. My glucose test was normal and my iron was just a little low. They told me not to worry about it but to add in extra iron to my diet where I can.

These ultrasound pics were taken just shy of 29 weeks. I was really nervous that my cervix might be too short but it didn't go down much and remains in normal range. It was actually 32 at my last ultrasound and 30 this time. Anything over 25 is normal. I was very relieved! The babies looked great too. Cloe was 2lbs 12oz and Jaeb was 2lbs 11oz. Both are growing just as they should despite being twins. Jaeb decided to turn from head down to head up though. I'm hoping he'll move again before delivery!! I did get to see Jaeb drinking the amniotic fluid, it was pretty cool! I also think Cloe looks like Page in this ultrasound pic! One of the best parts of being pregnant with twins is definitely all the extra ultrasounds :) I saw Dr. Linnerson two days after this ultrasound and my uterus measured at 36 weeks with 6lbs of baby. Yikes!

I am getting more uncomfortably as I get bigger and contractions have increased but remain irregular. I did make any extra trip to the OB when they picked up in the mornings. Luckily all is normal for a twin pregnancy! I will see Dr. Linnerson next week when he returns from vacation and my visits with him with increase to weekly appointments. I will have my next ultrasound at 33 weeks and then the ultrasounds will become more frequent as well. Being pregnant with twins in much harder than one but I am thankful that things have been going so well and pray these babies can make it safely into September!

I had a wonderful baby shower on July 19th. My mom and sister Jenna did a great job planning it. We sure are lucky to have such amazing friends and family in our lives :)

Page's 1st Haircut!

Page had her first haircut earlier this month! Now Mommy can finish her baby book ;) We took her to Snip Its in Gilbert. It's a super kid friendly place. She was really nervous but did great!

4th of July

We had a nice quite 4th of July this year! We went to Panera for breakfast, brought Page to the splash pad, had a BBQ, swam, and played with Sparklers! Page asked for big fireworks in the air, I didn't realize she knew what they were! Next year we will either take her to a firework show or do bigger fireworks ourselves :)

Happy 4th of July!!

Pregnancy Update

27.5 weeks now, so playing a bit of catch up...

This was an exciting baby month! We had another ultrasound, our babies were healthy, and we found out we were having a boy and a girl!! I started to swell a bit and also started having some groin pain after Disneyland. Turns out I have a hernia, no fun! To help with the extra weight and the hernia, I wear a belly belt. It works great! I also wear tennis shoes every day and swim when I can to help with the swelling.

This ultrasound pic was taken just shy of 25 weeks. The babies were growing right on track. Jaeb was 1lb 12oz and Cloe was 1lb 10oz. Both babies were also head down. This mama is hoping they stay that way! I didn't get any great pics, but liked this one since they were both in it :) Still can't believe we are having two! I did get some bad news, my cervix is starting to shorten. It was 40 at 20 weeks and down to 34 at this ultrasound. Luckily still in normal range though.

Two days after this ultrasound, I ended up in OB triage. I started having contractions. Luckily they were irregular and not affecting my cervix. They do get worse by evening though, so I have been trying to take it easy. Cole and my mom are a big help with Page and around the house and Jenna has been going to the grocery store with me on Saturdays. We continue to do things but in moderation and I avoid lifting and bending as much as possible. I now see Dr. Linnerson every two weeks and have ultrasounds monthly. Praying I can maintain as I am now for a while and avoid bed rest if possible, but most of all I hope these babies can keep growing until September!

The nursery is just about done, thanks to Daddy painting and Grammy doing the tree! I just love it :)
