22 Months Old!

Miss Page is 22 months old today! She spent the morning with daddy while mommy was at work and went to Auntie Sommer's graduation this evening. Page continues to amaze us! She has learned so much this month and is becoming such a big girl!

New Things - Page covers her head when she's in distress, leads us by the hand, goes down the big slides all by herself, runs all the time and often gets boo boos, can stack Legos, brushes her teeth like a big girl on her step stool, likes to sit at the big table, enjoys flying on the swing (on her tummy), and is talking like a champ even around others!

ISR - Page is doing great swimming and is getting more comfortable floating. She gets excited for her lessons and loves Miss Darla!

44 New Words - we, it, got, stairs, socks, door, "k" for okay, hair, swing, banana, cheese, kiwi, jump, jacket, turtle, color, sky, poop, bag, tea, James, book, home, apple, caterpillar, Cole (daddy isn't thrilled about this one), Page, cold or brr, card, cat, kids, drink, yah, cherry, bull, two, pool, hop, "Scar" for cousin Scarlett, dot, Pooh, pretty, please, and no (Page's favorite but mommy and daddy's least favorite word)

Sentences - We did it, I did it, and I got it!

Likes - Dresses, McDonald's, her new backpack, ketchup, clapping, ducks, Dora, wearing adult shoes, trucks, necklaces, her new slide, small toys, turtles, her sensory bin, pjs, and making her dolls hug :)

Silly things - Page requested syrup with her pizza one night. She loves dipping!

Monthly festivities - Freestone Park with mommy, Grimaldi's to celebrate daddy's promotion, the Phoenix Children's Museum , Mother's Day with both families, Schnepf Farm's Peach Festival with Auntie Jenna and Uncle Nick, a pony ride at the farm, dinner with Grandma Great and Aunt Caroline, lots of time with mommy's family celebrating Auntie Jenna's and Grandpa Dave's birthdays, BBQ with daddy's family on Memorial Day, and Auntie Sommer's graduation!

Medical - Page had her GI appointment this month, is successfully weaning off her Zantac, had a head cold earlier this month, and experienced some sleep issues when she started swimming and going down the big slides. Too much to do, no time for sleep ;) Luckily the newness has pasted! We did purchase blackout shades for Page's room. She has been waking early thanks to the sun ;) Excited for the shades to get here!

Happy 22 month birthday baby girl!
We love you so much and are so proud to be your parents!
Can't wait to see what you learn this next month!

A couple weekends ago we took Page with us to do some errands. She had a blast at each & every store. Its so fun to experience life through the eyes of a toddler!!

There is never a dull moment with this little lady ;)

The Peach Festival

Yesterday we went to the Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms with Auntie Jenna and Uncle Nick. We had a lot of fun! We planned to eat peach pancakes but the wait was too long so we had peach cinnamon rolls instead! After breakfast we did some peach picking and Page had to go on a pony ride before we could leave ;)

Page loving the pony ride!! There were tears when she got off...

Page's 1st Sensory Bin

In case you're wondering, sensory bins appeal to a child's senses in a fun way and on many different levels. The bins can help with learning and development such as fine motor, transferring, matching, patterns, counting, sorting, classifying, and skill recognition. Great for imaginative play! I was excited to make a sensory bin for Page. It was a lot of fun putting it together!

Page's 1st Sensory Bin...a Garden Theme
She loved it, especially the bugs!! Serious play...

Looking forward to making more. Plan to do some holiday themed bins this year!

ISR Lessons Week 3

Page was nervous to start swim lessons but has done great. Each day she gets more confident and that confidence allows her to have more fun! Miss Darla is Page's swim instructor. She decided to have mom start joining in on the lessons this week to help Page get more comfortable with her and the water. Her plan worked great! Page is doing awesome! We're so proud of our baby girl!

Here is a video of Page swimming between mom and Miss Darla. She still isn't loving the float, but is doing great with the swim!! Had trouble uploading this video, I think its too big for blogger. Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqs1zkselIc!

Here is a video of Page swimming to the step. Not bad for a 21 month old!

More videos coming soon ;)

GI Appointment

Page had a GI appointment this morning. She weighs 24lbs 5.4oz which puts her at the 31st percentile for weight. That's up from the 18th percentile in January! In addition to her weight gain, she also grew 2 inches! She is 34.5 inches which puts her at the 88th percentile for height. What can I say, she's a tall skinny girl. Dr McOmber is very pleased with Page's growth. He's not looking for a magic number, he just wants to maximize her growth potential. The goal is to stop the Zantac Page takes for reflux. We will be weaning the med over the next three weeks to see how Page tolerates it. We will continue to offer about 900 calories a day plus 20-24oz of whole milk and Pediasure. The plan is to stop warming Page's milk and offering it during meals rather than in between. Not drinking 8oz of Pediasure right before bed will help with potty training in the near future. No rush, but definitely a goal. Dr. McOmber will see Page again in 3 months and if things continue the same he plans to discharge her from his service!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day! We took Page to the park to play this morning, went to church with my family, brunch at T.C. Eggington's, and had dinner with Cole's family. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Being a mom is such a difficult, yet amazing experience. I love being Page's mom and thank God daily for blessing me with her. I am also very thankful for my mom. She is an amazing woman and has thought me so much! Don't know what I would do without her. I am especially thankful that she watches Page for us when we go to work. We couldn't ask for a better "ma" for Page. A couple pics from the day...
