Miss Page Loves to Play...

11 Months Old!

Check Out Those Teeth ;)

Page has been a busy girl this month! She said her first words uh-oh, da-da, & mum, learned to wave & clap, walks across the room pushing her toys & furniture, has two new teeth, loves to swim & play in her boat, gets up & down with ease, might be the fastest crawler ever, & has gotten so good at playing. Page especially likes to read books & play with her stuffed animals & under her table. She is such a fun girl & growing so qucik. She learns something new every day. Have to beleive this little one will be 1 year old soon!

In other news, Page does better with her eating every day. She is showing interest in the foods we eat & is starting to try new textures. Page saw the feeding therapist today. She did great at the visit & will be seeing Adriana once a week. We got some great ideas that will help Page continue to develop her eating skills!

Goodbye Buddy

Last night my mom let Patch outside. While he was out there his right back leg gave out & he was crying out in pain. This continued after he came inside. I gave him a tramadol for pain & brought him to the emergency animal clinic. They ended up sedating him & giving him more pain medication because he was still in pain & not cooperative for the exam. The x-rays showed quit a few hip & knee issues so we were going to follow up with the orthopedic surgeon today. Patch was not himself when we left the clinic. He wouldn't walk & his breathing was labored. I even called back to make sure this was normal. Patch settled down & his breathing went back to normal within two hours. I checked on him when I woke up at 5:30 & he was sleeping peacefully. At 7:30 I went in to give Patch his pain meds before leaving for work & he had passed. I'm not sure what happened. He had taken the same pain medications & sedatives many times before but this time was different. Looking back, Patch hasn't been himself for a while. He has been eating & playing less, sleeping more, & having more trouble getting around. I guess his poor body had been through too much. Cole came home to say goodbye & we were able to take him to the vet together. The vet did a molding of Patch's paw & provided us with the Rainbow Bridge Poem. They will be cremating his body for us & we are thinking of a deserving resting place.

Today was a sad day with many tears. Our buddy Patch was very loved & will be so missed! He was a great dog & such an important member of our family. We are so thankful for 10 great years!

Page's First Words

Page said her first words on Monday June 4th! Her first word was uh-oh! My mom was rushing to put something away before she left & knocked the gate down. Page looked at the gate with a serious look & said uh-oh. It was super cute & kinda funny too :) Later on that evening she said her second word da-da! She used the word when she was looking for Cole. He was very excited!! Since then Page loves to say da-da. She uses the word when she's looking for her daddy or when she gets mad at her mommy & cries for help. Her mean mommy makes her change her diaper, cut her nails...you get the idea. Miss Page is growing by the day! It won't be long before she's walking & talking up a storm. So fun to watch her grow!!
