1 Month Well Check Stats (10/24/14):
Cloe 7lbs 15oz, 20in and head 14.25in
Jaeb 7lbs 12.5oz, 21in and head 14.25in
The babies are growing like champs and got the Hep B vaccine. Cloe has thrush, so both babies will be taking nystatin for a few days. Jaeb got silver nitrate to the belly button as he has a piece of umbilical cord just not wanting to die ;) These healthy babies will follow up in 1 month for their next well check/vaccinations!

1 Month Old
We survived the 1st month ;)
Cloe is a pretty easy going baby, is very alert, and has great head control. She passed her repeat hearing test and started on Zantac for reflux this week.
Jaeb is more sensitive and a mama's boy. He just loves to be held especially by mommy and is a fan of tummy time. He has a heart murmur and saw the Cardiologist this month. He has a small 3mm hole and peripheral pulmonary stenosis. Both will resolve on their own and shouldn't effect him negatively. We had to supplement after feedings for two weeks due to weight loss after birth. He gained quite a bit and has a great latch now so we have cut the supplements.
Both babies love pacifiers, their heads stroked, and warm baths. They are on the same schedule, sleeping one 4 hour stretch at night. and feed every 2-3 hours during the day. They are good friends and like to hold hands when they feed :)
Page is adjusting to being a big sister. She enjoys playing with the babies and being a big helper but also struggles with waiting and sharing her time. Page continues to stay busy and started her first solo preschool class! She is also taking a cupcake decorating class with her friend Myla :)

The Twins Are Here!
The twins are here! Both were born vaginally on Sunday 9/21/14 at 38+4 weeks. Cloe Makenna was born at 2:04am, 6lbs 1oz 19in & Jaeb Dean was born at 2:20am, 5lbs 9oz 19.5in.
The birth story...
After a full day of work, labor started Friday 9/19/14 at 7:15pm. After having contractions 5 minutes apart for 2 hours, we went to the hospital. The contractions were not painful, but were effecting my cervix. Labor continued, but wasn't progressing quickly. I was given the max dose of petocin with little effect. They eventually made a small leak & labor picked up. I received an epidural and was 10cm dilated by 1:30am on Sunday 9/21/14. They moved me to the OR for delivery & I started pushing at 2am. My friend and past coworker Jenn was the charge nurse and was able to be there with Cole to help me with the delivery! Unlike the labor, the delivery went fast. I did 3 sets of pushes with Cloe and then 5 sets of pushes with Jaeb, which included 1 set to break his water. The twins were born healthy and only 16 minutes apart! I did have some vaginal taring and had to have a manual extraction of the placentas but did amazingly well. It was so exciting to meet the babies and so nice to breath easy again :)
We stayed in the hospital for two days and received the best of care. Big sister Page was so excited to visit and meet the babies. We consider ourselves so very blessed! Our prayers were answered with no bedrest, a full-term pregnancy, safe vaginal deliveries, and two healthy babies.
We are home now and adjusting to the craziness of life as a family of 5. Cole is home for 5 weeks, my mom is helping at night, and Jenna is preparing our meals. We are so thankful for any help we get. I don't expect to have much extra time to blog, but will do so when I can as I love to be able to look back at posts.
