Medical Updates

Page's cardiology appointment went well on the 19th! Her ASD is down to 1mm, surgery should not be needed and should not effect her negatively. Page did awesome for her echo, vitals, and check up. I'm a proud Child Life Specialist and mama, so happy to see her cooperating and without fear of the medical setting! :) Page was up to 37 inches (90%) and 27+ pounds (50%), she has come a long way! We will follow up again next year. Yay, for good news and health!!

On a different note, we took P in for a KUB (abdominal xray) the day after Christmas. She had been complaining of stomach pain, vomiting on occasion after her nightly milk/Pediassure, telling us she went poop with nothing there, not sleeping as well, and was more irritable than normal. We were thinking she needed her reflux meds increased which she still may but we learned that she was really backed up. She did a 3 day clean out at home and will be on a maintenance bowel regimen. The nurse explained that constipation often occurs with reflux as the reflux can slow the motility of the stool. We're just thankful we keep Page out of the hospital and that she can help us know what's wrong! Praying for a healthy 2014!!
