Page's EGD

On Friday, my friend and Child Life Specialist Sarah gave us a pre-op tour in preparation for Page's EGD (upper endoscopy) with biopsies today. Page hasn't been able to wean off her Zantac, so Dr. McOmber wants to rule out allergies and celiac disease. Page had a fun time seeing the facilities at Phoenix Children's Hospital!

Pizza in the cafeteria after our tour ;) Yep, Grammy came with us!

Sarah also gave us some anesthesia goodies, so we could do medical play this weekend!
Dr. Page :)

I woke Page up at 5:20 this morning, so we could check in at 6am. Luckily she was in a good mood and didn't realizes she was NPO! All the staff were great and child-friendly!!

Page Playing in Pre-op

Our little sweet pea in recovery. As soon as she woke up, she popped up and demanded we take her IV out. She didn't want to drink for the nurse but was ready to go. She wanted to walk but was too unsteady, started to crawl instead ;) I carried her to the car despite her efforts. She is one strong-willed little lady!

Drank her whole cup of water in the car. Got upset part way home because she wanted Mommy to hold her. Good thing Grammy was with us :)

Lots of cuddles this morning. We were home by 9am!

Page is doing great! Eating, drinking, peeing, and playing :) Just put her down for her nap.

The EGD looked normal, we will get the biopsy results next week. So thankful to the amazing staff at Phoenix Children's Hospital for taking such good care of our little love!!
