Sea Life Aquarium

We took Page to the Sea Life Aquarium today! She loved it, so fun to see all the sea creatures! She even got to touch some start fish :)

Page saw her first movie last weekend, Planes! It was a cute movie and Page had a really good time! She also had popcorn for the first time and loved it! The movie was an hour and a half long and Page lasted about an hour before getting antsy. We ended up leaving 15 minutes early, not too bad for a 2 year old!

Page's First Dentist Appointment

Page went to her first dentist appointment on Tuesday! We saw Dr. Culp with Jungle Roots Children's Dentistry! This is an awesome office for kids! The office is child friendly and all of the staff are great! Page did wonderful other than having to open her mouth for Dr. Culp ;) She has no cavities! We have made a few changes since our visit. Page is now drinking her Pediasure before brushing her teeth at night, is using the fluoride tooth paste twice a day, is drinking bottled water, and we are attempting to floss!

We will see Dr. Culp again in 6 months :)

GI Appointment

Page saw Dr. McOmber this morning and he was very pleased with her growth! Page is now using the "big girl" scale which I was a little disappointed about because each scale is so different and I became accustomed to the accuracy of using the same GI "baby" scale at each visit. The good news is Page continues to grow and continues to jump up on the growth scale. She was 35.2 inches and 25.8lbs today which is pretty close to her well check measurements. Page's goal remains at 800-900 calories with 20-24 ounces of milk/Pediasure a day. Dr. McOmber wants to try to wean Page off her Zantac again, this time very slowly. We will go from three dose a day to two for the next month, then one for a month, and hopefully none the following month. I guess only 5% of children don't "grow out" of needing the reflux meds. If we are unable to wean successfully she will be getting an EGD to get a better idea about what's going on inside. We talked about stopping the Pediasure at bedtime in preparation for potty training but have decided to hold off until we wean the Zantac. It will be hard to evaluate the wean with too many changes in the mix. We follow up with Dr. McOmber in 3 months and will readdress getting rid of the Pediasure/bedtime feeding at that time.

Page did great at today's appointment! She cooperated with measurements and Dr. McOmber's exam and as always had a blast playing with her distraction bag! So thankful Page is doing so well and to have such amazing doctors :)

A Special Day with Our Favorite 2 Year Old!

On Monday, Miss Page turned 2. Mommy and Daddy took the special day off from work. In the morning, we took Page to Imagination Avenue in Phoenix. It is an awesome play center for kids with all the make believe play tools you can imagine! Page had a blast playing :) In the afternoon, Page opened her presents from us, played with all of her new toys, and went to Burger King for dinner (to play!). It was a great day!

Page's 2nd Birthday Party!!

Page had a Dora themed pool party last weekend. We had a little over 30 guests, 11 of which were children. Page loved the Dora decorations and had a blast with our family and friends! A big thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate our big girl turning 2!
