June Art Work

Page is loving her Messy Monsters class! So thankful we were able to get into this class again!!

23 Months!

Page is 23 months old today!! It's hard to believe that in one short month our baby will be 2 years old! Page is such a vibrant little girl. She brings so much joy into our life and its so much fun watching her develop! We are just amazed at how much she has learned this past month!!

New Words - too many to count, got lost after 50 words mid-month!! Some favorites: bye, Darla or Dar (swim instructor), Jen (Auntie Jenna), Daddy, goal, hello!, love you, thank you, pa (Grandpa Russ), Mer (Auntie Sommer) and all the expressions -wow, ahh, whoo, eww, yuck, awe :)

New Things - Page attempts to dress and undressing by herself, started her Music Adventures class, is now drinking cold milk (no warming), sometimes sucks on her pointer finger when she's tired, whispers, loves making animal noises, has started checking out library books, closes doors, scrunches her nose and makes a "sniffing" noise when she smells flowers, has a great memory, is stubborn as anything, does not forget a thing, can throw a great tantrum, and she's talking like crazy!

ISR - we are still doing the swim lessons. Page has had the swim down for quite some time but refuses to float independently. Page loves swimming with Miss Darla! She asks for her and cries when lessons are done. Makes me wonder if she refuses to float to keep Darla around ;)

This Month's Festivities - Grandpa Dave's 50th birthday and Auntie Sommer's graduation party, Splash Pad with Brayden and Makayla, dinner at Grandpa and Grandma's with Uncle Kyle and Aunt Heidi in town, Daddy's 30th Birthday Party, Father's Day with both families, Butterfly Wonderland with Meg, Michael, and Rory, a trip to the Phoenix Children's Museum with mommy and Auntie Sommer this morning. Aunt Julie and her girls arrived today. We are looking forward to playing with them all week!

Other News - we started Page back on her Zantac, did some sleep training, and put up blackout shades earlier this month. Luckily Page is back on track with her sleeping and is such a happy kiddo!

Cole's 30th Birthday

I did a horrible job of taking pictures! I didn't even get one of the birthday boy or the decorations!! Nonetheless we had a fun time celebrating Cole's 30th birthday last weekend. Cole's birthday was on Friday. After work and swim lessons, we went to Joe's Farm Grill for dinner. Here are a couple pics of Page enjoying her dinner ;)

On Saturday, we had a pool party and Cole was able to brake in his new volleyball net. It was a fun time with good company! I did manage to get a picture of the cake ;) A big thank you to everyone who was able to help us celebrate!!

Butterfly Wonderland

Yesterday we went to Butterfly Wonderland with Meg, Micheal, and Rory! It was pretty awesome to have beautiful butterflies flying all around us. Page loved it!! A few pics from the experience...

Father's Day

On Father's Day, we went to Russ and Beth's for brunch then to my mom and Dave's for a BBQ that afternoon. It was a nice day celebrating all of the dads in our lives. Page is very lucky to have Cole has her daddy and to have so many great grandpas in her life!! Page gave her daddy a cute Tiny Prints card with photos of her and daddy on it as well as a cute mug and poem from art class. Here is a cute picture of Page helping daddy open his gift ;)

Page is loving swim lessons! She cried and asked for more "Dar" after today's lesson ;) Here are a few water pics Darla took yesterday. Kind of cool!

Back Yard Remodel

We decided to do a little back yard remodel. Cole wasn't happy with how the grass grows under the tree. We thought about putting in a swing set or a play house, but decided we didn't have enough room. Not too mention, the park is so close and Page has her own playroom ;) We ended up extending the cool deck so we now have some lounge space! We also added a raised garden and fire pit. Page should have lots of fun in her garden this fall and who doesn't love a nice fire! Here are some pics of the process...

Splash Pad Fun!!

This morning we went to breakfast with Brittney, Brianna, Makayla, and Brayden. Then we went to the Splash Pad at the San Tan Village Mall. This was Page's first time at the Splash Pad! She briefly checked one out at the zoo but wasn't too sure about it. Today she had a blast playing in the water with Makayla and Brayden! Makayla is super cute! I over heard her telling another kid, "that's my cousin Page." I love that Page has these two friends ;)
