I'm Pregnant!!!

After almost 2 years of trying & help from our friends at Arizona Reproductive Medicine Specialists, Cole & I are excited to announce I'm pregnant! I am 12 weeks pregnant & baby Hickman is due Aug 1st. Some of our friends & family have know since Thanksgiving, but this week we shared the news with the rest of our friends, family, & co-workers. We are very thankful for this blessing!


Here are some ultrasound pictures from the last 12 weeks. It has been so amazing watching our little one grow!

6 week ultrasound. Our little one was 7mm with a heartbeat of 117 beats per minute. Everything looked great. We saw the heartbeat & got our first pictures!

8 week ultrasound. The baby was 19mm with a heartbeat of 152 beats per minute. Everything looked great & if you look really close you can see a little baby starting to form. It was amazing to see the growth that happened in just 2 short weeks! This was our last visit at the fertility clinic. We "graduated" & are now seeing our OB, Dr. Linnerson. As much as we love Dr. Linnerson, we were sad to leave Arizona Reproductive Medicine Specialists. They took such great care of us!

12 week ultrasound. This ultrasound was done at AZ Genetics & Fetal Medicine. We were really impressed with their facility. The baby was 6cm with a heartbeat of 154 beats per minute. According to the baby's size, he was a few days a head of schedule which means we have a healthy little baby growing! The baby was moving like crazy & we were able to see all of the growth that has occurred. We saw the little hands & feet moving, the heart beating away, the stomach & bladder starting to function, & the brain developing. We are amazed at how much growth has happened in such a short period of time & how much life there is in such a tiny little thing! Not only did we get more pictures, but we got a video of the ultrasound as well! The ultrasound tech was great & even showed us what a 3D ultrasound would look like. Video coming soon!

We had an OB appointment at 10 weeks so we will see Dr. Linnerson again at 14 weeks. The next ultrasound won't be until 20 weeks, but this ultrasound will tell us if we are having a boy or a girl! The sex is not important to us, but we are still very excited to find out!! We think it's a boy...we'll see if we're right.

I have been taking belly shots. I can see & sure do feel all of the changes happening, but they are not very apparent in the pictures. I will be sure to post belly pics as soon as my belly pops!
